Denis Howard's Monthly Student Blog

June and July 2010

Hi again all,

Hope you have been well since my last write up! I have written up my blog for two months as we have been so busy redesigning our web site.
Since I last wrote I have managed to finish my hour building culminating with a lovely trip to Donegal and back. Fabulous scenery and great airport and a most enjoyable four hour round trip. I would recommend it to anyone who is hour building.

I also started my MEP, multi engine class rating in June. I managed to get that course out of the way in just one week, plenty of ground school and a total of six hours flying....brilliant.

Beautiful aircraft to fly but you really need to know your procedures off by heart beforehand, its really fast and heavy in comparison to a cessna 172.

The lessons I enjoyed most was engine failures and engine shut down and restart.
In July, I managed to complete my CPL training, 15 hours on the single engine and 10 hours on the twin, I enjoyed every minute of it.

I have just got my application in for the flight test now so I am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed. I will let you know how I got on next month so til then safe flying and keep the emails coming.

Denis
