Denis Howard's Monthly Student Blog

April 2010

Hi all,
Its great to get the chance to put "pen to paper" again this month for an update on my training so far. I was more than surprised at the amount of emails I received from people last month, thanks very much for your interest. This month I have managed to do quite a lot of flying. Since I completed the night rating I have been chomping at the bit to do some night flying on my own but i have just found it so hard to find the time.I have spent most of my time off during the days hour building with friends and colleagues and enjoying every minute of it.
I have just completed a CPL cross country triangle which consisted of a flight from Cork to Sligo, then onto Waterford and back to Cork, with the weather being so unusually good for this time of the year I took full advantage. With some of the best weather conditions ever seen for the month of march the aircraft at the school have been in the sky from dawn to dusk, literally, although I noticed a sizeable change this week........I was lucky to get so much done..........roll on the summer ! Anyway,I now only have 35 PIC (pilot in command) hours to do before starting the training for the CPL so thats looking good for the start of june. Until next month, take care and pleasant flying and keep the emails coming.
Till next month
Denis
