The Course.
The Single Engine Instrument Rating course consists of 50 hours of training on a single engine aeroplane.
- Instrument rating ATPL theoretical exams
- Class 2 medical certificate
- Holder of at least a PPL with a night rating
- At least 50hrs cross country as pilot in command.
Requirements
The single engine instrument rating is an additional endorsement that you may add to a Private Pilots Licence.
It is required for flying in low visibility conditions as well as long distance trips, i.e. cross channel to mainland Europe.
