Multi-Engine Instrument Rating course

This course comprises of a minimum of 55hrs of which 15 hours must be completed on a multi engine aeroplane. If the applicant is the holder of a CPL, the training is reduced by 10 hours. There is also 20 hours of comprehensive Groundschool as part of this course.

  Requirements

  • At least a PPL
  • A Class I Medical Certificate.
  • A JAR-FCL licence

This is the final stage of your flight training. This qualification entitles you to fly in the same manner as airline pilots.

  Conversions

If you are the holder of an FAA or ICAO CPL and/or Multi IR, you can convert your qualifications to a JAA licence/rating by completing our fast track conversion course.

Conversion of your CPL is training as required and this will be determined following a flight assessment and ground assessment with our Chief Flying Instructor.

The MEIR conversion course entails a minimum of 15 hours of instrument instruction. 5 hours of this can be completed on the single engine and 10 hours must be on the multi engine aircraft.

You are required to have passed the necessary ATPL exams to commence with your conversion.
