Sligo Seminar - October 2010

Just a quick report on our progress with the "round Ireland seminars" to keep everyone updated.

Our most recent one was held in the Sligo Southern Hotel in Sligo and was an absolutely fabulous success,so much so,that we hardly had room to move in the conference room.

We had our usual crew of instructors with us,Mandy,Dave and myself but this time we were missing Dan,believe it or not his flight was late returning from Spain where he was on a weeks holidays so we had some new guys with us,namely Josh Forde and Fergal Daly,both very experienced instructors.

I will say that in the past year of touring Ireland with our Free Pilot Information Seminar "roadshow that I have certainly learned so much getting out there and talking to people on a one to one basis.I am particularly stunned by the lack of credible information available to the general public on the step by step stages of how to actually become a pilot and what exactly is involved in the training from start to finish.I find people are genuinely amazed when they hear that they can complete the whole course in under 18 months and be ready for an airline job,its actually a lot less now,more like 15 months since when took possession of our new simulator.

Sligo was a fabulous place for a seminar,the people who attended came from all over,there were even two different lots who had driven down from Donegal and thats quite a distance.I would quite look forward to going back there next year for another one.

The last seminar for 2010 is being held in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow and then we take a "roadshow break" for december,however we already have a full diary for 2011 with 11 countrywide roadshows,5 airshows and 8 students career days so I am going to thoroughly enjoy the new year.

I hope to have a report on the Carlow seminar for you before the year is out but I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone here at the school to thank all our students,customers,associates and everyone who took the time to attend and organise our seminars this year and wish them a very happy xmas and prosperous new year.
