COURSES AND CONVERSIONS

Flight Instructors Course

This is a course which is typically undertaken by students who have just graduated and wish to expand their aviation knowledge and experience or indeed may wish to take it up as a career.
The course is a 31 hour flying course, with the first hour being an acceptance flight (pre entry course requirement). It is challenging at first, given that the student for this course will now fly the aircraft from the right seat for probably the first time in his or her aviation career. Flying and explanation precision are of paramount importance during this course and also thereafter in the role of flight instructor. An ability to teach and understand each individual is also of utmost importance.

The typical amount of ground school undertaken by a student for the flight instructors rating will amount to 125 hours of tuition and self study as the ability to be able to teach on the ground is every bit as important as teaching in the air.
The requirements for entry into a flight instructors course are set out under the training menu of this website.
